Forests are crucial for the health of our planet: they house more than half of the world’s carbon stock in soil and vegetation, helping us mitigate the greenhouse effect and the climate crisis.
For this reason, today, on the Day of Forests, we have decided to further our Labo Forest project: 500 new seedlings are growing in the nurseries and, in about a year’s time, they will be planted in the Tambopata reserve in the Peruvian Amazon, contributing to the reforestation of one of the richest territories in biodiversity.
Our project, carried out in collaboration with zeroCO2, has allowed us to plant over 12,000 trees, helping to support the farming community the timber and fruit plants were donated to.
An innovative satellite monitoring lets us remotely track the growth of our forest and measure its impact on the planet and on people.
